Animal Farm at Magnet Theatre

From 26 to 29 November 2025, Magnet Theatre presents ANIMAL FARM, a South African adaptation of George Orwell’s classic tale. Adapted and directed by Morapeleng Molekoa, this production features first-year trainees from the Full-time Training and Job Creation Programme.

The play examines how hope can turn into oppression. Using text, song, and movement, it tells the story of animals who overthrow their human farmer. Their dream of equality quickly unravels as greed and power corrupt their revolution.

This limited run includes only five performances at Magnet Theatre, located on the corner of Lower Main and St Michael’s Roads in Observatory.
