Experience highlights

Wine tasting and storytelling

Begin your experience with a guided wine tasting on Silvermist’s lawns overlooking the Twelve Apostles.

Hosted by winemaker Gregory Louw or sommelier Gift, guests sample four wines, including two organic Silvermist specialities – or opt for homemade iced teas for those who prefer non-alcoholic options – while traditional African songs set the mood as you’re introduced to the Constantia Valley’s winemaking heritage.

Drumstruck the Show: The most fun, interactive African music-theatre experience on earth

Step inside the intimate Drumstruck theatre that doubles as a museum, where world-class performers, including Mpho Rasenyalo and Tumelo Seleke, lead an energetic journey through African drumming. Every guest receives a drum, so you don’t just watch, you become part of the show!

Explore a rare collection of iconic South African instruments and experience everything from Xhosa wedding songs and Bushmen trance clapping to marimbas, Akadinda rhythms, log drums and Zulu dance.

Guests can also join in with shakers, tambourines or ‘frogs’, creating music together and experiencing the joy and power of drumming in a group.

The braai: A celebration of South African flavour

As the final drumbeat fades, enjoy a traditional South African braai featuring lamb chops, chicken, boerewors, fresh salads, pap, chakalaka and garlic bread.

Vegetarian options are also available, with bold South African flavours at the heart of each dish. Finish off with a tasty home-style dessert.

The Marimba Band: Ending on a high note

Dine to the vibrant sounds of the Drumstruck Marimba Band, led by award-winning musicians Zama Quambi and Lungelwa Mdivasi. Expect an uplifting mix of African classics and feel-good favourites like ‘Malaika’, ‘Summertime’ and ‘I Can See Clearly Now’, creating a joyful, celebratory finale to the evening.

The music is infectious, the atmosphere relaxed and celebratory, and before long, everyone is clapping, singing or moving to the beat. It’s a performance that leaves guests connected to the music, the people and the spirit of South Africa.
