John Dobson’s 5 Arts Weekend

The 5 Arts Weekend returns to Barrydale with another unforgettable experience, led by Karoo Art Hotel’s Creative Conductor and all-round Renaissance man John Dobson — better known as the Stormers head coach.

This marks Dobson’s third time curating the event, and it’s set to be a vibrant celebration of music, food, rugby, comedy, and community spirit.

The VIP weekend pass gives guests an all-access ticket to the full lineup, including:

• A Friday night performance by Francois van Coke, complete with a meal and your choice of a beer or glass of wine (vegetarian option available)

• A Saturday morning cycle with Dobbo himself (BYO bike!)

• A hearty South African-style lunch featuring Karoo Lamb, Skilpadjies, Lamb Chops, Braai Broodjies and more (vegetarian option available)

• A rugby masterclass with insights from Steven Kitshoff, John Dobson, and Mark Keohane, hosted by seasoned broadcaster John Maytham

• A live screening of the South Africa vs Georgia rugby international on the big screen

• An evening of laughter with comedian Pieter G, followed by dancing to the legendary Harleydale DJ Jaco Messenheimer

VIP guests will also receive a drinks voucher to keep the good times flowing.
