Love Across Infinite Possibilities: Constellations at The Baxter

June 2 - June 20

R250
Constellations by Nick Payne

Presented by How Now Brown Cow, Constellations arrives at the Baxter with a moving and thought-provoking story about love, fate, and endless possibility. Written by acclaimed British playwright Nick Payne, the production blends emotion, humour, and science into an unforgettable theatre experience.

The story follows a quantum physicist and a beekeeper whose relationship unfolds across multiple possible realities. In one moment they connect, while in another they drift apart. Through these shifting timelines, the play explores how even the smallest choices can reshape a life.

Directed by Jay Pather and starring Mark Elderkin and Mwenya Kabwe, the production delivers a deeply human story filled with tenderness and emotional depth.

The audience can expect intimate storytelling, emotionally layered performances, and beautifully written dialogue throughout the production. Every scene shifts between possibility and reality, creating a fascinating theatrical rhythm.

Meanwhile, themes of love, heartbreak, and connection unfold through clever storytelling and moments of quiet vulnerability. The play balances intellectual ideas with deeply relatable human emotion.

At the same time, the minimal cast and focused staging create a powerful sense of closeness and intensity.
