Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek: Three Days of Pure Groove

Jazz lovers, something extraordinary is coming to the Cape Winelands. For the first time ever, the legendaryMontreux Jazz Festival arrives on African soil. And its home is the beautiful Franschhoek Valley.

Across three unforgettable days, music fills the village with world-class performances, great food, and vibrant energy. At the heart of the festival is The Arches Stage.

Set beneath the iconic Huguenot Monument, it hosts powerful live sets from lunchtime until midnight. Expect a full outdoor festival atmosphere. Live bands, DJs, local flavours, craft drinks, and space to relax between performances. Just a short walk away, discover The Jazz Village.

Hosted at the historic NG Kerk, this intimate venue celebrates pure jazz artistry. Five carefully curated shows run daily from late afternoon until midnight. Every performance offers a close, seated listening experience for true jazz fans. Connecting both stages is the Montreux Mile.

A walkable route that invites you to explore the village between sets. Enjoy cafés, wine bars, street performances, and the charm of Franschhoek along the way.

On Sunday, the festival slows down. Music flows through the village during the Sunday Slowdown, with free performances along the Montreux Mile.
