Celebrating its 29th anniversary as South Africa’s longest-running music festival, the Cape Town Jazzathon 2026 will take place from 9 to 11 January at the V&A Waterfront Ampitheatre.
The Cape Town Jazzathon features three days of free live performances by emerging and established artists across diverse genres such as Afro Jazz, Cape Jazz, Hip Hop and Neo Soul.
Produced by JCQ Productions and funded by the Department of Sports, Arts & Culture’s MGE (Mzanzi Golden Economy), the Department of Cultural Affairs & Sport and the City of Cape Town, the Cape Town Jazzathon is expected to be one of the most exciting since its inception.
The festival offers entertainment daily from noon to 8pm, with the line-up and updates available on the Cape Town Jazzathon website here and social media pages under @jazzathon.
‘We are extremely grateful to our funders, Mzanzi Golden Economy (MGE), The Department of Cultural Affairs & Sport and the City of Cap Town, through whom we are able to produce a magnificent festival,’ says Festival Director Craig Parks of JCQ Productions.
