Some talented top performers from the South African College of Music (SACM) who successfully auditioned to perform at this festival will play alongside the University of Cape Town Symphony Orchestra (UCTSO) under the baton of Brandon Phillips.

The Festival is held every year and serves as a launching pad for accomplished classical music instrumentalists and singers in performing with a symphony orchestra.

The evening’s soloists include Lily van der Merwe on flute, Sigqibo Tokwe on bassoon, Dané van Graan on piano, Rebekah Hope Beelders on violin, Nica Reinke as mezzo-soprano, Trygve Nissen on cello, Solomon Mannel on flute, Loren Ehlers on accordion and Andrea Salomo on oboe.

The programme will feature works by Reinecke, Mozart, Vieuxtemps, Rossini, Elgar, Quantz, Martinu, and Loren Ehlers.
