Each year after the winter rains, Namaqualand transforms and a usually arid region is covered in vibrant blooms. The dramatic shift from dry desert to floral fairy oasis draws visitors from around the world.

West Coast Flower Tour

The Namaqualand Flower Tour returns for its 12th year, offering a curated travel experience designed to showcase the best of the wildflower season. The five-day journey includes stops at iconic flower-viewing areas and scenic West Coast towns.

Tour itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival at Cape Town International Airport and transfer to The Blaauwberg Beach Hotel
• Day 2: Travel to Van Rhynsdorp via Piekenierskloof Pass, Citrusdal, Clanwilliam, Ramskop Gardens and Biedouw Valley
• Day 3: Flower viewing in Skilpad National Park and overnight in Okiep
• Day 4: Visit West Coast National Park and the Postberg section
• Day 5: Return to Cape Town and transfer to the airport

Costs

• R11,600 per person sharing
• R2,600 for a single supplement

Cape Town-based travellers pay R10,460 per person sharing or R1,800 for a single supplement. The rate includes attendance at the group welcome dinner at The Blaauwberg Beach Hotel on Day 1.

Flights must be arranged independently. Airport transfers are included in the package, and vegetarian meals are available.

To secure a booking, complete the booking form and submit a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due 14 days before departure.
