Elon Musk is making headlines once again, but this time it’s for fathering twins with one of his top executives, Shivon Zilis.
Zilis is one of the top executives at Musk’s neurotechnology firm Neuralink, and according to court documents, the pair welcomed twins in November 2021. Court documents acquired by Business Insider revealed that the South African billionaire and Zilis filed a petition to have their twins’ names “have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name”.
Musk now has nine known children, including five with his first wife, Justine Musk, and two with singer Claire Boucher, aka, Grimes.
The babies were born in Austin, Texas, where the petition was filed. The twins were reportedly born mere weeks before Boucher and Musk welcomed their second child together via surrogate, as per The Guardian.
Not much is known about Zilis other than her age and work history. The 36-year-old is allegedly the director of operations and special projects at Neuralink and has been working at the company since May 2017. She simultaneously worked as a project director in artificial intelligence at Tesla until 2019.
