Kuwaiti military posts on X said its air defences were ‘engaging hostile missile and drone attacks’ and confirmed two border guards had been killed on Sunday while on duty.
Those statements underline the human cost of renewed strikes across the Gulf.
The attack came amid a widening regional war after recent US and Israeli strikes on Iran, which Tehran said prompted retaliation across Gulf states and strikes on Iranian facilities.
Videos from Tehran showed fires at oil depots and residents described streets choked with smoke and scenes of panic.
