For many people around the world, TikTok has come to the rescue, like a beautiful knight on his white horse to help save us from boredom during quarantine. The video-sharing platform has been an excellent way for users to flex their creativity and cooking skills, with endless videos catering to your inner foodie.
Now, the platform is looking to expand its horizons by serving up a new ghost kitchen restaurant concept that’s based on its most viral food hits, reports Business Insider.
On Friday, TikTok announced that they would be partnering with Virtual Dining Concepts to launch a delivery food-service chain that will start churning out their greatest foodie hits come March 2022. The delicious latest addition has been dubbed “TikTok Kitchens,” with the social media platform hoping to bring a little joy and famous TikTok foods to the public, rather than venturing into the restaurant business.
So, what’s on the menu? Everything your heart and stomach desires, including ribs, smash burgers, pasta chips, baked feta pasta and tons more. Unfortunately, South Africans will have to make do with scrolling through the platform and cooking up these recipes themselves as the new venture is only available in the USA (for now).
TikTok Kitchens is set to open around 300 locations around the US for those hungry enough, and lucky enough to try it.
