    Merrydale Avenue, Mitchells Plain

For the first time, Open Streets brings activities, vibes and sense of community to Merrydale Avenue in Mitchells Plain.

Open Streets Cape Town is a non-profit organisation that focuses on creating shared spaces that help bridge the spatial and social divides of our city. On an Open Streets day, roads are closed off to motorised transport to create a space for community building and recreation.

Use non-motorised transport to get to Open Streets or take a minibus taxi to Mitchells Plain Town Centre, a train or a MyCiTi bus.

You’ll be best off wearing comfortable shoes. Bring along sunscreen, water, a bike, skateboard, your family and friends. Pack an umbrella if it rains.
