The chill in the air can mean only one thing… snow in the mountains. The Matroosberg area, near Ceres, received the lion’s share of the snowfall predicted for the Western Cape on Monday night.

A low pressure system swept over the province, creating some much-needed rain and snowfalls in some areas. So far, we’ve only managed to track photos from the Matroosberg area.

No more snow has been predicted for this week and temperatures are going to remain cooler throughout the rest of this week.
