A fire has broken out at the Woodstock MyCiTi bus stop. While there is no official word on the cause of the incident, it is allegedly being described as a mechanical problem as one of the buses can be seen engulfed in flames.
MyCiTi took to their Twitter page, indicating that buses will not stop at Woodstock and are currently being rerouted until further notice.
#MyCiTiAlert Route T01 will be deviated due to a bus incident at Woodstock. Stop missed: Woodstock.

A few videos have been making the rounds on social media as commuters, who were eager to get home, are left frustrated due to the delay.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, firefighters are currently battling to contain a blaze that broke out at Noordhoek Wetlands next to Lake Michelle Estate. The City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Service is currently on the scene, alongside the NCC Wildfire Services.
