Residents of Kommetjie may experience water supply disruptions from February 7 until February 28 2019 due to the current underground upgrades in the area.

Hand-delivered notices have been given to residents of the area informing them of the days on which they may be affected.

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be working on replacing valves and hydrants.

Locals are advised to store water in clean and sealed containers in preparation for the interferences to the water supply, and to keep all taps closed during the intermittent disruptions.

The City has apologised for the disturbance, stating, “Please ensure that taps are kept closed to prevent any water damage when supply is restored. The City regrets any inconvenience caused.”
