An off-duty constable was killed and another man injured after an argument broke out in Mfuleni on Tuesday afternoon [November 10].

Speaking to News24, South African Police Services (SAPS) representative Colonel Andre Traut explained: “At around 5.30pm, shots were discharged during an argument between a group of people at New Flats in Mfuleni which led to a male person in his twenties being shot and wounded and the constable killed.”

The constable, who has not been named, was stationed at Kuils River police station. No arrests have yet been made.
