November 13 will be a painful day for lovers of the classic veldt brood (baby bread loaf, virgin butter) or changu (ciabatta hake, smoked mussels, apple & fennel, daikon, cashew & coconut crumble, celeriac, preserved lemon, mussel velouté) because it’s set to be the last day of service.
This closure coincides with head chef Farrel Hirsch leaving for Ireland as he will take up at Finn Lough, but we’ll fondly remember the pizzazz he brought with his creations that tell stories and preserve local culture and history.

Hirsch brought his flair for innovation and fresh flavours when starting his role at Greenhouse in November 2018, and as he so eloquently put it: “It’s not just about coming in for dinner at Greenhouse, it’s about the experience and how you feel during the meal and well after you leave the dinner table.”
So what will come of the picturesque Greenhouse premises? Well, it’ll be transformed into an events venue to host private events such as stylish weddings all year round. And according to The Liz McGrath Collection, bookings are now open for the upcoming festive season.
