We might not be able to jet off to Germany any time soon thanks to the fourth wave of the pandemic raining on our December parade, but there are still ways to get your cultural fix especially for those who were hoping to enjoy a European Christmas.
There’s a lovely little German-themed Christmas market right here in Cape Town happening on the next two Saturdays of the month, and brought to you by two owners not only born in Germany but in an area called Christmas country. How gorgeously fitting!
Scrumptious market food (expect German gingerbread and an entire array of the culture’s finest feasts and beverages), stunning decorations, rare flowers, handcrafted gifts and jovial music are all awaiting those who venture to the land where Christmas fairytales are real.
Join the owners, Sylvia and Elfi Bösinger for the event brought to you by exclusive flowers, and travel without having to actually hop on a flight at all.
Where: 33 Section St, Paardel Eiland, Milnerton, Cape Town
When: December 11 and 18 | 10am to 3pm
Cost: Free entry
