When Christoffel Hazenwinkel first established his farm on the Bottelary Hills in 1699, he named it Hazendal for the abundance of Cape Hares (hazen, in Dutch) in the valley.
With April being the month of Easter – and a bunny bearing chocolate goodies – Hazendal Wine Estate thought it only fitting to lay on a super spread of events and special deals for visitors.
And, with three public holidays and two wonderful long weekends baked into April, there’s no excuse not to get out and explore the Cape Winelands.
Here’s everything you can get up to in the valley of hares:
An eggs-ellent deal at The Homestead!
There’s a treat in store for the whole month of April (1-30 April 2022) when you book two or more nights at The Homestead a 20 % discount on your stay!
In addition to putting treasure back in your pocket, your stay includes a basketful of extra spills, from breakfast each morning, to a formal dinner in The Homestead prepared by our expert chef and paired with Hazendal wines.
They’ll also include complimentary access to Wonderdal for kids, curated art tours of the Marvol Gallery, and a tasting experience in the Wine Lounge.
If you’re lucky enough to stay over Easter weekend, there’s even an Easter egg hunt for kids to enjoy!
Available from 01 – 30 April 2022 | T&C’s: Minimum two nights stay.
Toast the time off
To help you make the most of lazy lunches on long weekends, they’re offering discounts on a range of Hazendal wines. Purchase any of the elegant Christoffel Hazenwinkel gift packs and receive a 10 percent discount.
