Over the weekend, a man was reportedly stabbed to death at a McDonald’s drive-thru – following a dispute over a food order.
Early Friday morning in Mpumalanga, two men who were unfamiliar, reportedly got into a dispute at the Highveld Mall where the Mcdonald’s resides, according to multiple reports.
Things took a turn for the dire after one of the men took out a “sharp object and stabbed the victim,” at around 4.20am, according to Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala.
The victim is believed to be 28 years old, as per News24.
Following the attack, the suspect is believed to have run away, leaving his vehicle, a red golf, behind. The victim was declared dead upon the paramedic’s arrival.
The public was urged to share any details and spread information about the murder suspect, but the suspect turned himself in according to Witbank News.
Accompanied by his lawyer, the suspect was detained on Sunday afternoon.
