Whether you’re an animal lover or simply a good samaritan looking to help out an animal in need, the latest tale from the SPCA is tugging at our heartstrings and showing us just what can be accomplished when we work together.
The George community rallied together after a distressed horse found itself in a dire situation. Bella, the horse in question, found herself trapped in some thick sludge in the George Dam.
According to the Garden Route SPCA, it was alerted that a horse was stuck and struggling to get out. The organisation sprang into action, reaching out to the community to ask for a helping hand in order to get Bella to safety. Thankfully, the community did not disappoint, with several individuals coming to the rescue.
Taking to social media, it thanked all those for their help: “Tonight we have once again realized how amazing and supportive our community is, everybody who offered their time and expertise.”
Bella is now safe, sound, and snug!
