More hot weather is expected this weekend as the South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued another Extreme Discomfort Advisory for the Western Cape.

On Wednesday, the weather service issued the same advisory as a week prior, warning of extreme heat over the course of the next few days.
According to the SAWS, high temperatures are expected across the Western Cape, resulting in very uncomfortable conditions in the Eastern interior.
Heatwave conditions are expected in the Beaufort West and Prince Albert municipalities today and will persist until 8pm tonight.
Other affected areas include Beaufort West, Prince Albert, Laingsburg and Oudtshoorn.
Residents have been advised to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and to keep hydrated by drinking lots of water.
According to temperature forecasts from Ventusky, Beaufort West is expected to hit 38°C on Thursday while Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape will see 40°C temperatures.
