Six men have been shot dead in Ocean View by unknown gunmen who stormed a house and opened fire on Wednesday morning, 12 April.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Novela Potelwa, says a vehicle had pulled up in front of a house on Neptune Lane at approximately 10:50am, entered the house, and opened fire on the occupants.

Potelwa confirmed that five men between the ages of 20 and 50 were confirmed dead at the scene when police arrived, and a sixth victim succumbed to his wounds and was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
Detectives from the Anti-Gang Unit are investigating six counts of murder. Police say the motive for the mass shooting is suspected to be gang-related.
DA Western Cape Spokesperson on Community Safety said, ‘It has been confirmed that ongoing blackouts in the area had disabled CCTV cameras at the time of the incident, thus severely hampering the investigation and police response to the incident’.
No arrests have been made so far.
Ocean View Community Policing Forum chairperson, Mansoer Ismail, told News24 that the suspects were not from the area.
‘The community has noticed unfamiliar faces in the area over the last few days and they were hiding away. These are gangsters who are not from here,’ claims Ismail.
Anyone with information on the incident who can assist the police investigation is urged to contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or the MySAPS App.
