Courtnall Skosan grabbed a try on debut, after receiving a wonderfully-weighted pass from Loader in the second half, to bring up the half-century for the hosts.
The win sees the Stormers continue their excellent start to the season, after coming away from Johannesburg with a bonus-point win over the Lions.
There was, however, a downside to the victory at the Danie Craven, as veteran centre Ruhan Nel had to be stretchered off in the first half after making a tackle, in what could be a significant injury blow for last season’s finalists.
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, who was a standout on attack, was awarded Man of the Match for giving Scarlets plenty of problems and. getting his name on the scoresheet again.
