A 61-year-old man passed away while preparing to board a flight at the Cape Town International Airport on Friday.

According to the Airports Company South Africa (Acsa), the man collapsed at the check-in area at the domestic departures terminal. He was scheduled to fly to Durban at 12:50pm on FlySafair when the incident occurred.
‘A doctor at the scene performed CPR on the man and Acsa paramedics responded promptly. Despite all efforts to resuscitate him, the traveller was unfortunately declared dead.’
Acsa told TimesLIVE that the man’s cause of death is yet to be determined.
