The service is extending its hours for late-night shopping, adding extra trips to popular destinations such as Canal Walk and the V&A Waterfront.
Additionally, a special route between Atlantis and the Silwerstroom beach and resort will operate during this period, excluding Christmas Day and operating on 2 January 2024.
Buses will leave Atlantis station at 9am and 1pm, returning from Silwerstroomstrand at 9:30am, 2pm and 6pm.
Residents should note that while buses will run daily, the frequency of standard weekday routes will be reduced from 18 December 2023 to 7 January 2024, affecting routes T01, T02, T03, 261 and 109.
Route D05 will not operate during this time.

‘We are excited about the many visitors who will be enjoying our beautiful city this festive season,’ Councillor Quintas said.
He continued, ‘We want to encourage all to make use of the MyCiTi bus service. MyCiTi is a convenient, affordable travel option, especially during our busiest season when traffic congestion and parking can be a source of headaches. Commuters can travel to various recreational spots and shopping centres day and night, and all that’s needed is a valid MyConnect card loaded with Mover Points.’
For detailed timetables and route information, commuters can visit MyCiTi’s website or use the MyCiTi app.
