The City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services have confirmed at least one residential house is suffering damage from the fire. Further investigation cannot take place right now due to the heat of the ongoing fire.
Firefighters from Table Mountain National Park, NCC Wildfire Services, Volunteer Wildfire Services, Working on Fire and the City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services are battling the fire – particularly on the urban edge of Trappieskop.
Road closures include Boyes Drive at Old Boys Drive, Main and Clairvaux.

Table Mountain National Park NCC Environmental Services’ crews are responding to a fire above Boyes Drive, Kalk Bay.
The City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue crews have also responded, with two Huey helicopters and a spotter plane assisting.
Motorists are advised to avoid Boyes Drive.
