Thula Baba Project, a nonprofit organisation based in Tokai, is gearing up to host two exciting quiz night fundraisers in Constantia, all in support of Cape Flats mothers and their babies.
Founded in 2018, the Thula Baba Project is committed to supporting underserved mothers in impoverished areas, particularly focusing on the Cape Flats region.
Their initiatives include providing incentive packs for attending classes and clinic visits, fostering support groups for new mothers and promoting early literacy to ensure children are ready for school.

The project’s Communication Manager, Wendy Purdon, says, ‘Our objective is for the mothers of the Cape Flats to have the knowledge and tools to provide nurturing care to their babies from the womb to the classroom so that the children can reach their full potential.’
Thula Baba Project operates several programmes aimed at supporting mothers and babies.
‘Equipping Mothers’ provides essential items like nappies, clothin, and toys as incentives for attending educational courses.
