Whether it’s a quick ‘stick a patty in a bun’ job or a gourmet treat with all the trimmings, burgers are always a hit.

They come in so many forms, even pescetarians, vegetarians and vegans will find a burger that fits their dietary requirements. Whenever I got to a festival, be it music, wine or art, I always make sure I know where the burgers are. When I heard that there will be a festival dedicated to this magnificent food, I was beyond excited.

Burgers are arguably the most popular food on the planet, and no two burgers taste the same. So it makes perfect sense that there would be an event celebrating it. This weekend, the Jan Van Riebeeck High School Rugby Field will be filled with burger enthusiasts looking to try out as many patties as they can.

There will be 25 vendors selling their signature burgers, so come hungry! There will be vegetarian burgers on sale, in case you were worried that you’d miss out on the all the fun because you forgo meat. What good is a burger without a nice cold beverage to wash it down? The Burger Festival will also host 10 craft breweries and 10 wine estates to quench your thirst. There will also be 10 artisan stands selling their wares in case you crave something sweet later on.

To round things off, there will be live music to entertain you. Carla Louw, Natasha Meister and Jono Dose will all be performing at the festival, creating the perfect ambience to the already beautiful setting and great food. This festival is for serious burger eaters, so no under 18s or dogs are allowed. Be sure not to miss on the tastiest festival ever. It’s one that absolutely all human adults can enjoy!
