Robertson Winery is best known for producing wines that are amazing on your palate and even better on your pocket, but they have taken their craft a step further with the classic Really Good Wine range – where wine meets local initiative.
South Africans now have the opportunity to savour some much-loved and award-winning ‘Good’ wine that’s also doing ‘Good’ things for the local community. The recent launch of a brand new and much-needed Really Good Library at Nkqubela Primary School in Robertson is a focal point of this wonderful initiative.
This new building is decorated with striking designs and vibrant colours and was unveiled during a heart-warming ceremony earlier this year. The Robertson Winery team and their collaborative partners were graciously hosted by the school principal Mr. John Ngonyma, along with 28 teachers and 1 088 learners, who showed their appreciation through dances, songs and poetry.
The vivid illustrations highlight the magnificent Robertson valley to show what makes it such a special ecosystem with hidden letters added in between to stimulate the minds of learners. The exterior beauty of this building complements the inside where over 2 000 compelling new books can be found to evoke the imagination of all who enter while inspiring the next generation.
The creation of this library embraces a Really Good Partnership based on mutual respect, values, skills and a common vision to add a bright new horizon of hope, belief and inspiration to the Nkqubela school and community in Robertson.
Breadline Africa, an NGO based in Cape Town lent their support, educational expertise, passion and a generous donation of 2000-plus exquisite books while MAL, the collaborative design hub, ploughed back into a community with integrity, passion and extraordinary creativity and design, to create a more sustainable and equitable planet.
Think WiFi added a whole new dimension to the Really Good Library by affording the opportunity of exploring new realms via free uncapped Wi-Fi to connect communities and build smarter futures for all, and with the help of 7Films, this inspiring story was able to be captured.
Creating this Really Good Library while simultaneously launching the range of Really Good Wine demonstrates the impact of an authentic, purpose-driven brand. Robertson Winery’s Really Good Story will be proudly communicated on the packaging of Robertson Winery’s range of Really Good Wine that helped create the Really Good Library.
Look out for these wines now strikingly attired with vivid multi-coloured Really Good Wine neck-tags, inviting wine lovers to share the joys of giving and to make a difference.
