Constantia Glen has reopened and is ready to welcome back guests who have been longing to indulge in some familiar favourites with their signature cool climate wine blends and a view like no other.
Now that Women’s Month is here, the wine farm has a wonderful feast planned for Women’s Day on Monday, August 9. Families will be able to raise a toast to the special women in their lives at the wine farm’s tasting room, while enjoying live music presented by local musician, Lize Mynhardt from 2pm – 4pm. Upon your arrival, all the special ladies will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Constantia Saddle Rosé.
An afternoon spent at Constantia Glen, sipping wine and soaking in the mesmerising view wouldn’t be complete without a finger-licking artisanal cheese and charcuterie platter, or by tucking into a lunch or early supper.
What’s on the cards?
A relish iconic wood-fired Flammkuchen (flatbread) or warm up to a selection of hearty homemade soups and more substantial dishes. Guests may also indulge in Constantia Glen’s famous traditional Austrian beef goulash served with Spätzle, French onion soup with croûte au fromage, and delicious roasted cauliflower soup served with crispy, freshly baked bread.
All soups are available at R95 and the Austrian beef goulash at R130 per person. For the complete trio, it costs R110. Each of these heartwarming winter dishes can be paired with an elegant Constantia Glen wine.
Their winter menu also features slow-cooked lamb shank served with mashed potatoes, wild mushrooms and vegetables at R250 per person. Add a bottle of smooth, elegant Constantia Glen red to really make the most of your experience.
