The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon will hold its 53rd edition on 15 April 2023, with the half marathon following on the morning of 16 April 2023.
The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon (TTOM) has sold out every year since its inception in 1970, and this year’s charity fundraising goal is a significant R1 million. GivenGain, South Africa’s premier online fundraising platform, is once again empowering runners to #RunforCharity and meet this goal as an official fundraising partner since 2018.
The prestigious ultra marathon features a 56-kilometre route that passes through two oceans – the Indian and Atlantic oceans – and offers runners the most scenic route around the Cape Peninsula.
The scenic foot race will begin in Newlands and head out towards Noordhoek, followed by the majestic sea view from Chapman’s Peak, before the big climb up Suikerbossie Pass and then pushing through to the finish line at UCT rugby fields, attracting over 20 000 local and international participants.
Donations to the Volunteer Wildlife Service and their participation in full firefighting gear can be made directly to the VWS here.
