Got a gift you don’t really want or need? The best thing you can do with your unwanted gifts is to donate them to a great cause like the Animal Welfare Society of South Africa.
According to Allan Perrins spokesperson for AWS SA, “all proceeds from the sale of goods in their Charity Shop goes directly towards covering the care bills of the hundreds of animals dependent on them and it is also a wonderful way for those more fortunate to provide those less fortunate with a hand-up.”
It’s “back to school” time and the Animal Welfare Society of SA has had lots of Moms pop in to buy clothing and shoes for their children. These parents simply cannot afford to buy their children new uniforms or shoes and if the stock has been depleted they will have to go barefoot or wear the hand-me-downs that are available.
“To see their little faces light up when they find something warm and comfortable to wear or are maybe lucky enough to find a few books and stationery is beyond rewarding and when we tell them that the money they spent on the items will help all the needy pets in their community they simply glow,” concludes Allan.
