The icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean in the Mother City have left local and international travellers mesmerised by her beauty.
During those sweltering summer days, she provides a respite from the unbearable heat, while some even manage to take a brave plunge into her waters during those chilly winter months. While Cape Town’s ocean waters attract many visitors, the city’s tidal pools are another great addition to exploring the city’s oceans.
Readers of Condé Nast Traveller agree, and two of the city’s tidal pools have been listed among its 14 prettiest ocean pools in the world.
Camps Bay Ocean Pool next to Camps Bay Beach and Milton Tidal pool in Sea Point has managed to snag spots alongside some of the world’s most gorgeous tidal pools, including Bondi Beach in Australia and Madeira, Portugal.
While we couldn’t be more thrilled to see Cape Town’s name shine internationally, there are definitely a few other stunners we would include on our “prettiest list.”
Here are a few tidal pools around the Mother City to check out.
