A Taste Of Belgium is an annual event where members of the BCCSA showcase their products and services. The event takes form as a fair where Belgian know-how is displayed for the eyes and mouths of local residents.
30 to 40 traders are to be expected at this stage. This year, guests can expect a live performance by Majozi. Kindly note that the overall entertainment will end at 8pm.
The venue is located at the foot of Table Mountain in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, Newlands. Inside the venue and in the gardens, food and drinks will be available, paired with craftwork, kids activities, Dj Radio Belgium, and art from both Belgian and South African artists will be displayed creating awareness on our culture, their similarities and differences.
All members of Belgica and BCCSA as well as all Belgians registered at a Belgian Consulate in South Africa can start clearing their cupboards, storerooms and garages of any redundant items (excluding clothes and shoes) and use this opportunity of the festival to offer these second-hand items for sale to the public at the Belgica ‘Rommelmarkt’.
The event is being organised by the Belgian Chamber in Cape Town and sponsored by the Belgian Consulate and AB-InBev, this year’s festival will be hosted at the Belgian Art residence at 29 Boshof Ave, Newlands Cape Town.
