Thai authorities are preparing to conduct an autopsy on the body of Australian Cricket legend, Shane Warne, who passed away from a suspected heart attack.
Warne’s management said in a statement on Friday that the retired leg-spinner died in Koh Samui, Thailand.
“It is with great sadness we advise that Shane Keith Warne passed away of a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand today, Friday 4 March.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his Villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement read.
According to reports from the Southeast Asian country, the 52-year-old’s body will now be examined before flying home, where he will receive a state funeral.
SA Cricket Mag further reported that Thai police confirmed that there was no foul play suspected in Warne’s death after he was found unresponsive in a luxury villa on Thai holiday island Koh Samui late Friday.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison was one of the thousands of people who led tributes to one of their country’s greatest characters on Saturday.
Over the weekend fans also gathered at the MCG to lay flowers and some unusual offerings – among them cigarettes, beer and meat pies – to remember the famously hard-charging athlete.

Amid all the flowers left by Shane Warne’s statue @MCG … one fan left a beer can, meat pie & packet of cigarettes. Brilliant. ?? pic.twitter.com/VJFzgNSkDg
