Head to ditto on kloof this Saturday, 25 June, for a delicious Pride Month celebration. The shop, located on 119 Kloof Street, became South Africa’s first 100% vegan ice cream parlour when it opened its doors in October last year.
ditto loves a lekker collaboration – because #supportlocal – and have now teamed up with Retro Club to bring a little more Pride Month love to the Mother City.
Retro Club is the grooviest thrift store based in Muizenburg (6 York Road). They’ll be bringing their funkiest thrift gems with them to add to your dream wardrobe.
What’s the deal?
You’ll be able to buy a scoop of ditto’s new ice cream flavour, and get some Pride-inspired freebies with your purchase. Plus, ditto customers will be able to thrift the grooviest goods from Retro Club, in-store.

There’s more:
The first 40 customers to order a scoop of the “thrift me up buttercup” flavour will receive a free Pride badge and rainbow-inspired scrunchie. All in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
“Thrift me up buttercup” flavour?
Think chunky bits of dark chocolate smothered peanut butter cups folded into deliciously creamy peanut butter and vanilla ice cream.
Playing it forward:
Before getting lost in your ice cream dreams, consider buying a print of Retro Club’s “Queer Croc”.
100% of these profits will be donated to the Triangle Project. The Triangle Project is a non-profit human rights organization offering professional services to ensure the full realisation of constitutional and human rights for LGBTQIA+ persons, their partners and families.
