Join Ceres Rail Company in celebrating the Great Welsh Day Out with a return trip to the countryside aboard their historic steam locomotive passenger train in the company of the Cape Town Welsh Choir and a whole lot of rugby fans!
Once aboard the steam train, you will enjoy a three-hour journey, traveling through the beautiful Cape, up the majestic Sir Lowry’s Pass, and down into the Elgin Valley with the train reaching its destination at the Elgin Railway Market.
At the Elgin Railway Market, you will have a few hours to explore the market and all of its offerings of delicious foods, local wines, ciders and gin whilst enjoying the live music. Various bespoke craft stalls selling a wide range of items including jewellery, leather goods, wire art and so much more are yours to browse at your leisure. There is a wonderful play area for the children to enjoy too.
The train departs from Elgin at 2:15 PM, arriving back in Cape Town at approximately 6:00 PM
