The City’s facilities provide a variety of activities to children and young people of all ages.
Libraries and recreation centres are especially popular because they always have plenty of activities for children.
‘Our community services facilities are safe spaces – more so during the school holidays – and I encourage parents to send their little ones to their local facility. It’s the ideal opportunity to let their hair down, discover a new talent or learn a new hobby, and to make new friends,’ said Mayoral Committee Member for Community Services and Health, Patricia Van der Ross.

‘The weather forecast promises some sunny days and our beaches and pools will have their fair share of visitors. I want to encourage parents and caregivers to keep an eye on their children at all times, but specifically where they are near any body of water. Our children’s safety remains paramount and while our recreational facilities offer a safe space, guardians need to be vigilant in and around public areas,’ added Van der Ross.
