There’s a new kid coming to the block in Cape Town, set to grace the CBD with its cutting-edge design and fortress of visionary thrills.
The Rubik, as the mixed-use building is creatively titled, will add something different to the city’s growing skyline in the form of views that Friends fans can appreciate thanks to their pivoting nature.
Set to culminate at a height of 89 meters, the building will see eleven storeys. Who and what will lie within this tower? Trendy residents and snazzy offices, either or both of which understand the assignment when it comes to living the high life.

Inside, the designs will class minimalist chic, state-of-the-art technology, and an abundance of light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling window finishes, says DHK Architects.

However, beyond its aesthetic appeal, what will really make the space breathtaking is the rotating glass volumes nature of design, as The Citizen expresses.
DHL says that the glass cubes will “pivot around a central axis” which decompartmentalises the space into a breath of fresh air for innovation, and reduction of skyline clutter.

The views for those lucky enough to grab a spot will see Table Mountain and Lion’s Head, as well as the city’s humble roar below. And, if you’ve got a couple million to spare, this might just be your nest investment.

According to BusinessTech, prices will start at R2.18 million for a one-bedroom apartment, R4.25 million for a two-bedroom, and a Penthouse for a cheeky R7.65 million.
