Situated in the Renosterveld Conservancy near Botrivier, Southern Yurts is a fresh new approach to glamping; a well-designed space with magnificent yurts.
The Yurts site was a lockdown project of Tobin Davenport and Kate Brink on the farm outside Botrivier, and they’ve built the two campsites themselves.

Yurts were once the accommodation choice for nomads in Mongolia – a circular tent made from felt over a collapsible frame.
The result is a unique destination just 90 minutes from Cape Town close to Botrivier. The Yurt camp is separated into two neighbouring, but private, sites.

The idea behind the yurts is to keep you connected to the outdoors while still remaining comfortable and protected from the elements.
The Yurts camp is situated under a towing cliff, where two resident black eagles soar above. Each site is equipped with a wood-fired hot tub, an outdoor braai place and a kitchen area with a small indoor fireplace.
