1. Berseba Farm
Berseba is an essential oils farm in the Overberg district near Botriver, perfect for a soothing and tranquil break from the city. Here, you can explore the area on the numerous walking and mountain biking trails, or grab the binocs and go bird watching. If you’re keen to hit up the beach in between soaking sessions, Hermanus and Kleinmond are not far away. Don’t forget to shop some of the farm’s heavenly oils like tea tree and rosemary.

2. Kolkol Mountain Lodge
Situated on the Van der Stel Pass near Bot River, this lodge is surrounded by the fynbos of the Cape Floral Kingdom in the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. Each cabin has a private outdoor tub, designed by the owners, Karen and Rudi Ootshuyse themselves, which are heated up to 38 degrees. They also sell their hot tubs to the public. Cheers to that!

3. Honeybee Suite at Platbos Forest Reserve
The Platbos Forest Nature Reserve near Gansbaai is home to ancient trees of over 1000-years-old. The Honeybee Suite, a tented room for two, is the perfect rustic getaway. The hot tub is situated underneath a white stinkwood tree and uses untreated river water for a really authentic experience!

4. Oewerzicht
Outside of Greyton, the cottages on this working farm provide a cosy, home-like atmosphere to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Enjoy some mountain biking, hiking or relax around the braai with a glass of local wine.

5. Under Oak Cottage
Under Oak Cottages is an idyllic escape from real life. This little piece of paradise is situated in the Breede River Valley near Wolseley. After your hot tubbing, you can go horse riding on trails through indigenous fynbos, or pick-your-own cherries on the nearby Klondyke Farm. 6. Bergsicht
You won’t find a better place to enjoy stunning views of the Winterhoek and Witzenberg mountain ranges. Bergsicht is located near Tulbagh and the cottages are each more cosy and quaint than the next. From here, you can head out for an olive tasting, a scenic tractor ride or go horse riding at nearby establishments. If that’s not your scene, we won’t blame you for just relaxing in the tub all day.
