Cape Town, gather your families because Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is ready to welcome you back for a memorable family picnic (thanks to level 3 lockdown).
The adjusted protocols are as follows:
- Picnics are allowed, subject to social distancing.
- Restaurants are open for take-aways and sit-down dining is limited to 50 patrons.
- Kirstenbosch Tea Room and Moyo Restaurant are licensed to serve alcohol, for on-site consumption on their premises.
- The play area and jungle gym in front of Moyo Restaurant is open.
Please bear in mind that alcoholic beverages in the garden are prohibited as the consumption of liquor in public places are not permitted. It’s compulsory that you wear your mask, and the Kirstenbosch team asks that all visitors kindly wear their mask correctly at all times – covering the nose and mouth.
Kirstenbosch is open daily from 8am – 6pm in winter. South African citizens are reminded to bring along an RSA ID, driver’s license or proof of residency to qualify for the local cost price.
If you would feel more comfortable by reducing contact, you can purchase entry tickets online #Webtickets or via card at the ticket office. For more information contact Kirstenbosch on 021 799 8783.
