Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 24ºC with an unhealthy Max UV Index and 50% cloud cover. A north-north-westerly wind will be making its way through the Cape at 22kph, gusting at 46kph.
For those in the Cape Winelands and surrounds, the Cape Winelands District Municipality advised on Wednesday morning that the South African Weather Service predicted temperatures in excess of 40ºC for the next 48 hours.
An increasingly cloudy evening will see temperatures drop to a low of 16ºC while cloud cover increases to 72% with incoming low-lying clouds in store for later. Wind speeds will also be decreasing to 15kph from the same direction, gusting at 30kph.
