Cape Town’s favourite bakeries

Capetonians are known to enjoy a rich pastry with their hot cup of coffee, and as this is a city fuelled by caffeine, many pastries are consumed.

This pioneering bakery is known for its delicious creation, the Doughssant, which sells out so quickly that it has to be pre-ordered.

Another firm favourite is the Filled Brioche Doughnut, which you can purchase from one of its three stores located in Green Point, Zonnebloem and the CBD.

Known as one of the Cape’s longest-standing bakeries, Limnos’ creations are something many of us enjoyed growing up. This bakery is most famous for their heavenly Rainbow Cake, which you now have the option of filling with delicious candies as well.
