While the Covid-19 Lockdown forced restaurants all over South Africa to close their doors, Coco Safar has made available its bakery and beverage offering as an essential food service, for delivery, to all of its customers in the Cape Town area. Coco Safar’s bakery counter will reopen from this Saturday, April 25, with delivery being available to the greater Cape Town area.

Many Coco Safar fans may only know the brand as their favourite Sea Point all-day café, espresso bar or world-class patisserie destination. Most are not aware that Coco Safar is also and has been an artisanal bakery and food & beverage supplier to the hospitality and retail industries for quite some time, supplying 5-star establishments like Delaire Graff, Mount Nelson and 12 Apostles to name a few.

Coco Safar’s Bakery Counter in Artem Galleria in Sea Point’s Main Road is open 6 days a week. And while the cafe is closed during lockdown, a selection of premium artisanal breads, viennoiseries, coffee and tea is available for pre-order for delivery via WhatsApp.

Before the onset of this worldwide crisis, Coco Safar’s international culinary team was hard at work developing a range of exciting new products in a quest to elevate and expand its bakery offering. It is now finally ready to launch its wholesome breads along with its traditional bakery goods to satisfy all palates.

The Bakery Counter menu includes authentic artisanal breads like country style ciabatta, brioche buns, mosbollietjie, gluten-free multi-seed bread and a few other exciting new breads such as a white chocolate & dulce de leche babka, all baked daily on site. Coco Safar classics like its butter and hazelnut-chocolate croissants and sticky buns will also be available to boost your mood. And for those who have run out of coffee and rooibos, Coco Safar also has their premium compostable coffee and rooibos capsules, beans or loose leaf tea available.

Whilst it has adopted exceptional sanitary measures to keep its staff and community safe, Coco Safar also remains committed to uncompromising quality, and to making available the best of comforting baked goods by using the best and most nutritious ingredients, including local free-range eggs, extra-virgin olive oil and honey, and premium grains and superfoods like amaranth, teff and millet.

Keep a look out on social media over the coming days as Coco Safar will aim to expand its Bakery Menu to include other decadent daily essentials.
