On December 6, the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) unveiled its new venue, the Mountain View Terrace. The location will be available for booking as a rooftop venue for any summer events including art fairs, birthdays, wedding receptions and product launches.

The triple-volume glass atrium facade of CTICC 2 is a sight to see in the night time. This six-story, light-filled building is what holds up the new, cosmopolitan venue. With its exceptional views up Adderley Street and of Table Mountain, the setting is exhilarating. It is a great spot in Cape Town for an elegant event.

Mountain View Terrace is 561 square metres and can accommodate about 216 guests at a time. If this venue is too large, the CTICC 2 also has a more intimate venue, the Harbour View Terrace which is 222 square metres and accommodates up to 85 guests at a time. Harbour View Terrace overlooks the city’s vibrant harbour district with the Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop. CTICC 1 offers a Roof Terrace Room that leads onto an outdoor balcony. The Roof Terrace Room can accommodate up to 250 people for a cocktail function or 190 people for a banquet.

It is clear that the CTICC boasts venues that can accommodate any type of event. In fact, the CTICC complex also comes with a ballroom, raked auditoria, exhibition halls and meeting rooms. Each facility has its own character and mood.

What makes these venues even better is that they cater for all dietary requirements. The CTICC is also committed to protecting the planet and as such clients are provided with the opportunity to ensure that all their events are ‘green’ in order to reduce their own carbon footprint.
