Bloemendal Wine Estate
The Durbanville Wine is home to a plethora of excellent wine farms, including this family-friendly gem. Tuck into their popular sushi platters while watching the kids enjoy the large sand pit and jungle gym area at the Estate’s Bon Amis restaurant. If you’ve got wine on your mind, then make sure you head to their tasting room which offers a jungle gym and a kiddie tasting experience – perfect to keep them entertained. There are also endless outdoor activities to get up to, so make sure you bring your walking shoes or bicycle if you’re really looking to get warm!

Klein Roosboom
Klein Roosboom is a lovely family-run estate that’s a perfect stop for lunch or a unique wine tasting experience. They’re famous for their themed wine caves, but it’s their picnic experience you’ll really enjoy with the kids. Pick a few mouth-watering foods from the Deli before eating foodie treasures amongst the vines. It’s also the ideal place for the kids to run wild with plenty of space.

Boschendal Wine Estate
When it comes to Wine Valleys, Franschhoek is the crème de la crème and Boschendal Wine Estate is its shining star. Boschendal may be famous for its incredible wines and delightful dishes, but it’s their child-friendly atmosphere that you and your kids will love. It’s all about adventure and the wine estate includes an epic tree house, an incredible outdoor play area, and a range of educational activities which get kids closer to nature.

Tokara Delicatessen
Tokara has some of the most incredible views in Stellenbosch, and no wonder: it’s nestled between the majestic Stellenbosch Mountains – a sight even the kids will enjoy! Their wines are top-tier and their dishes are exceptional, but parents will love the exceptional child-friendly activities available. Four treehouses with ladders, a climbing net, a sandpit, and swings are all available for kids to enjoy to their heart’s content.

Steenberg Wine Farm
Indulge in a bit of history by visiting this sprawling wine farm which dates back to 1682 and is considered one of the Cape’s first farms! Once you’ve spent a few minutes embracing the views and history, sample one of a few of the estate’s award-winning wines or grab a delicious meal at the restaurant. Steenberg is great for the kids too, offering an extensive child-friendly menu and a luscious lawn for the kids to run about.
