Residents lucky enough to stay in the Glencairn area were greeted by a stunning golden moon that filled the sky on Monday, April 6.

Local photographer Nigel Riley managed to capture amazing pictures of the spectacular moon from the comfort of his stoep.

While it may look like a full moon, it is not yet at its fullest as the Pink Super Moon is only expected to be visible in South Africa on April 8.

Nonetheless, the moon was definitely a sight to behold, shining from the dark sky with a bright yellow hue framed by dark clouds.
