It’s been a difficult year for many South Africans. Many workers have lost their jobs and the consequences are far reaching. Ladles of Love in Cape Town have provided meals for the unfortunate throughout lockdown and want to make more of a difference in the festive season.

“We’re on a mission to make 2020 the year we showed our collective love, and change the COVID-19 story into one of compassion and hope. We’re going to do this by serving 10 million meals to people in real need by the end of 2020. But we can’t do that without you,” the charity said.

“Together we can serve 10 million meals and re-write a fellow South African’s story. Not as one of suffering, but one filled with love.”

Ladles of Love is appealing to the public to support their #FillaPot campaign and donate R150 or more to help fill a pot with nutritious produce. R150 will cover the cost of an entire pot that feeds 100 people.

Your donation will also automatically enter you in their weekly draw for some unbelievable prizes from Sun International.
